IPhone X is no longer the king of screens: say hello to the Samsung Galaxy S9

Little has lasted the lead from the impressive display of brand new Apple iPhone X. At the end of last year, the terminal's OLED screen was placed in the first position as the screen with the highest performance among all smartphones.

The iPhone X had the best screen on the market but... six months later, after the presentation of the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9 Plus... the iPhone X is no longer the king of screens.

Samsung has returned to claim his crown, although Apple does an excellent job in implementing technologies that allow offering higher efficiency in the screens of their devices. But, remember, Samsung was the official provider of the OLED panels of the iPhone X.

Since DisplayMate has made some tests to the terminals and has come to the conclusion that the 5.8-inch OLED displays provide better performance than the 5.8-inch OLED displays of the iPhone X.

Samsung Galaxy S9 has the best OLED screen on the market

After testing by DisplayMate, it has been shown that the Samsung Galaxy S9 has a brighter OLED screen, with more precision of colors, with less reflectance and with greater visibility in the outskirts than the screen of the Galaxy S8.

In fact, they have described the Galaxy S9's screen as "visually indistinguishable from perfection" setting a new record in color accuracy of 0.7 JNCD.

As for the level of brightness of the screen of the Galaxy S9, it is 20% higher than in the Galaxy S8. The Galaxy S9 screen has also set a record in the reflectance score with a level of 4.4%.

The battle between the screens of Samsung and Apple is getting hotter, and it will be interesting to see how Apple tries to regain its leadership with LG as the main provider of OLED panels.
